3D Hair
3D hair modeling focuses on realistically reconstructing and manipulating human hair in three dimensions, primarily for applications in computer graphics and virtual reality. Current research emphasizes developing robust methods for reconstructing hair from single or multi-view images and videos, often employing neural networks, such as diffusion models and implicit neural representations, along with novel geometric representations like strand-aligned 3D Gaussians or volumetric primitives. These advancements enable more accurate and efficient hair modeling, leading to improved realism in digital humans and facilitating applications like virtual try-ons, scalp diagnostics, and animation.
