3D Human Head
Research on 3D human head modeling focuses on creating realistic and controllable digital representations for applications in virtual and augmented reality, gaming, and film. Current efforts concentrate on developing efficient and accurate methods for generating 3D head models from various input types, including single images, multi-view data, and even text descriptions, often employing neural networks (e.g., neural radiance fields, diffusion models, GANs) and novel geometric representations (e.g., tri-planes, point clouds). These advancements are improving the realism, expressiveness, and efficiency of digital human heads, impacting fields ranging from medical simulation to personalized avatar creation.
