4 Dimensional Light Field
A 4D light field represents a scene by capturing light intensity and direction from multiple viewpoints, encoding rich 3D information. Current research heavily focuses on improving light field super-resolution, employing convolutional neural networks (CNNs), transformers, and state-space models like Mamba to enhance both spatial and angular resolution efficiently. These advancements aim to overcome limitations in light field camera technology and enable applications such as high-quality view synthesis, depth estimation, and improved image reconstruction from sparse or low-resolution data. The resulting improvements in light field processing have significant implications for various fields, including computer vision, augmented reality, and 3D imaging.
