6 DoF Tracking
Six-degrees-of-freedom (6-DoF) tracking aims to precisely determine the three-dimensional position and orientation of an object in space over time. Current research emphasizes robust and real-time tracking of unknown objects, often employing neural networks (e.g., neural object fields) or Kalman filtering combined with optical flow to handle challenging conditions like fast motion, occlusion, and poor lighting. These advancements are crucial for applications such as autonomous robotics, augmented reality, and advanced computer vision systems requiring accurate object localization and motion estimation.
