Academic Integrity
Academic integrity in higher education is facing unprecedented challenges due to the rise of sophisticated AI tools like large language models (LLMs). Current research focuses on detecting AI-generated content, employing methods such as keystroke dynamics analysis, perplexity-based approaches, and modified neural network architectures like TypeNet. These efforts aim to improve the reliability of assessments and maintain fair evaluation practices, while also exploring the ethical implications of AI integration in research and teaching, including the development of responsible AI usage frameworks and LLM-resistant exam designs. The ultimate goal is to develop strategies that balance the benefits of AI in education with the need to uphold academic honesty and ensure equitable assessment.
