Acne Detection
Acne detection research focuses on developing automated systems for accurate and efficient assessment of acne severity, overcoming limitations of manual grading. Current efforts utilize deep learning models, including Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) for synthetic data generation to address data scarcity and privacy concerns, and two-stage detectors with novel head structures for improved lesion localization and classification. These advancements hold significant promise for improving acne diagnosis and treatment by providing objective, consistent assessments and facilitating large-scale studies previously hindered by data limitations.
