Active Shooter
Active shooter incidents are a critical concern driving research into improved safety and response strategies. Current research focuses on enhancing building design for safer evacuation, developing automated shooter detection and tracking systems using deep learning architectures like YOLO and DeepSORT, and leveraging synthetic data to improve model robustness and training efficiency. These efforts aim to improve both the speed and accuracy of threat identification and response, ultimately contributing to enhanced public safety and informing the design of more resilient environments.
