Adaptive Intervention

Adaptive interventions (AIs) are personalized interventions dynamically adjusted based on an individual's real-time data and responses, aiming to optimize health outcomes or behavior change. Current research heavily utilizes reinforcement learning (RL), often integrated with other machine learning techniques like Thompson sampling and large language models (LLMs), to design and deliver these interventions across diverse applications such as mobile health, pharmaceutical supply chain management, and mental health support. This field is significant for its potential to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare delivery, particularly in resource-constrained settings, by tailoring interventions to individual needs and contexts.
