Aerial Detection
Aerial detection encompasses the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other airborne platforms to identify and classify objects or phenomena from above. Current research focuses on improving the accuracy and efficiency of detection using advanced computer vision techniques, such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs) including lightweight architectures like YOLO, and incorporating multi-view data and contextual information to enhance robustness. This field is significant for applications ranging from infrastructure inspection and environmental monitoring to security and defense, driving the development of novel datasets and algorithms for improved object recognition and tracking in challenging aerial environments.
