Aerial Scene

Aerial scene understanding is a rapidly evolving field focused on analyzing images and videos captured from airborne platforms, primarily using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Current research emphasizes developing robust algorithms, such as Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs) and Transformers, to address challenges like limited data availability and the need for accurate target tracking and prediction in complex aerial environments. This work is driven by the need for improved automation in applications such as wildlife monitoring, traffic management, and disaster response, and is facilitated by the creation of large, synthetic datasets for training and validation. The development of advanced models for image synthesis and semantic segmentation is crucial for extracting meaningful information from aerial imagery.
