Algorithmic System
Algorithmic systems are computational processes used for decision-making, often impacting individuals and society. Current research focuses on improving their fairness, accountability, and transparency, including developing auditing methods to assess ethical implications and recourse mechanisms to address unfair outcomes. This work also explores the robustness of these systems to noisy data and investigates the synthesis of algorithms from natural language specifications, aiming to enhance their reliability and efficiency. The ultimate goal is to create more responsible and effective algorithmic systems across various applications.
