Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) focuses on developing technologies to enhance the independence and well-being of individuals, particularly the elderly, within their homes. Current research emphasizes using sensor data (e.g., from wearables, ambient sensors, and even Wi-Fi signals) combined with machine learning models—including deep learning architectures like CNNs, LSTMs, and ensemble methods—to perform tasks such as activity recognition, fall detection, and health monitoring. These advancements hold significant promise for improving healthcare accessibility, enabling remote patient monitoring, and promoting independent living, particularly in aging populations.
