Animatable 3D Human
Creating realistic and animatable 3D human models from various input sources (single images, monocular videos) is a rapidly advancing field. Current research focuses on developing efficient and robust methods, often employing neural radiance fields (NeRFs) or Gaussian splatting for 3D representation, and leveraging techniques like diffusion models and parametric body models (e.g., SMPL) to improve animation quality and generalization to unseen poses and views. These advancements are significant for applications ranging from virtual reality and gaming to film production and personalized avatar creation, offering more realistic and efficient digital human representation.
