Artificial Intelligence Policy
Artificial intelligence (AI) policy research focuses on developing effective governance frameworks to mitigate risks and harness the benefits of rapidly advancing AI technologies. Current research emphasizes practical policy implementation, including methods for designing and evaluating AI systems' behavior (e.g., using mapmaking analogies for LLM policy design) and cross-national comparisons of existing strategies. This work is crucial for ensuring responsible AI development and deployment across various sectors, from healthcare and education to media and the economy, by addressing issues like bias, transparency, and data privacy.
