Asset Administration Shell

The Asset Administration Shell (AAS) is a standardized digital representation of physical assets, aiming to improve interoperability and data exchange in industrial settings, particularly within Industry 4.0 initiatives. Current research focuses on automating AAS creation using large language models and other AI techniques to process textual data from sources like datasheets, thereby reducing manual effort and improving efficiency. This work is significant for enabling seamless integration of diverse systems, such as service robots, and facilitating advanced applications like digital twinning and improved safety in autonomous systems, ultimately enhancing industrial automation and efficiency.
