Automatic Parking
Automatic parking systems aim to enable vehicles to autonomously park themselves, improving convenience and safety. Current research focuses on enhancing the robustness and efficiency of parking algorithms, often employing variations of A* search, model predictive control (MPC), and Hamilton-Jacobi reachability analysis to generate safe and efficient parking trajectories, even in tight spaces and dynamic environments. These advancements leverage improved perception systems, including fisheye cameras and advanced object detection, to handle real-world complexities. The resulting improvements in parking success rate, speed, and reliability are crucial for wider adoption of autonomous parking technology in both consumer vehicles and other robotic applications.
