Autonomous Ground Vehicle

Autonomous ground vehicles (AGVs) are robots designed for self-directed navigation, primarily aiming to improve efficiency and safety in various applications, from industrial settings to off-road environments. Current research heavily focuses on robust perception and localization using sensor fusion (LiDAR, cameras, radar), advanced path planning algorithms (including artificial potential fields, deep reinforcement learning, and model predictive control), and reliable control policies for safe navigation, often leveraging digital twin simulations for testing and validation. These advancements hold significant potential for revolutionizing transportation, logistics, and exploration in challenging or hazardous environments.
