Autonomous Mission
Autonomous mission research focuses on enabling robots to execute complex tasks independently, prioritizing robustness, reliability, and efficient task completion in diverse and often challenging environments. Current efforts concentrate on developing advanced control architectures, such as skill-based systems and Bayesian learning frameworks, for improved task planning, execution, and runtime verification, often incorporating graph-based navigation and multi-robot collaboration. These advancements are crucial for expanding the capabilities of robots in various sectors, including industrial inspection, space exploration, and infrastructure maintenance, leading to increased efficiency, safety, and reduced operational costs.
