Avatar Model
Avatar modeling research focuses on creating realistic and efficient 3D representations of humans from various input sources, such as videos or images, aiming for high-fidelity rendering and dynamic animation. Current efforts center on novel neural network architectures, including neural radiance fields (NeRFs) and Gaussian blendshapes, to improve rendering speed, detail capture, and the handling of complex elements like clothing and pose-dependent deformations. These advancements are significant for applications ranging from virtual reality and gaming to personalized digital experiences and animation, driving improvements in both the realism and efficiency of digital human representation.
