Avatar Reconstruction
Avatar reconstruction aims to create realistic, animatable 3D human models from various input data like images and videos. Current research heavily focuses on developing novel neural network architectures, including those based on neural radiance fields, Gaussian splatting, and transformers, to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and controllability of avatar generation, often incorporating techniques like differentiable rendering and semi-supervised learning. These advancements are driving progress in fields such as virtual and augmented reality, gaming, and film production, enabling more immersive and interactive experiences. The development of large-scale datasets is also crucial for training and evaluating these increasingly sophisticated models.
