Bethesda Report
The Bethesda Reports, stemming from AI summits focused on nuclear medicine and broader AI applications, highlight the increasing use of artificial intelligence in analyzing medical images and reports. Current research emphasizes developing and refining vision-language models (VLMs), often incorporating techniques like contrastive learning and prompt engineering, to improve tasks such as report generation, abnormality detection, and image-text retrieval in healthcare. This work aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy, reduce workload for medical professionals, and improve the efficiency and reliability of medical AI systems, ultimately impacting patient care and research.
