Binaural Rendering
Binaural rendering aims to create realistic 3D audio experiences through headphones, focusing on accurately reproducing the spatial cues our ears use to localize sound. Current research emphasizes improving binaural signal matching (BSM) algorithms, often incorporating interaural level differences (ILDs) and leveraging deep learning models, such as neural networks and graph neural networks, to process and generate high-fidelity audio from various input formats like Ambisonics. These advancements are crucial for enhancing immersive experiences in virtual and augmented reality, teleconferencing, and other applications requiring realistic spatial audio reproduction.
