Biological Insight

Biological insight is being revolutionized by the application of artificial intelligence, particularly large language models (LLMs) and deep learning, to analyze complex biological data from diverse sources like bioimages and spatial transcriptomics. Current research focuses on developing and applying these models to improve data interpretation, generate biological narratives, and identify key variables driving complex biological processes, often integrating multi-omics data and employing explainable AI (XAI) techniques to enhance transparency. This work promises to accelerate scientific discovery by automating analysis, revealing hidden patterns, and ultimately leading to more efficient and effective biomedical research and personalized medicine.
