Bone Tissue
Bone tissue research currently focuses on improving the accuracy and efficiency of bone segmentation and analysis in medical images, employing advanced techniques like U-Net and transformer-based architectures, as well as ensemble methods to enhance reliability. Significant efforts are dedicated to developing automated algorithms for bone age estimation, anomaly detection (e.g., bone lesions), and the creation of comprehensive 3D bone models incorporating both bone and soft tissue structures for applications in medical imaging and biomechanics. These advancements have implications for improving diagnostic accuracy, treatment planning, and the development of personalized medicine approaches for musculoskeletal conditions.
