Boolean Function
Boolean functions, mathematical objects mapping binary inputs to binary outputs, are central to diverse fields like computer science, cryptography, and machine learning. Current research focuses on efficiently constructing Boolean functions with specific properties (e.g., high nonlinearity, balancedness) using evolutionary algorithms, gradient descent methods, and novel neural network architectures like Transformers. These efforts aim to improve the design of cryptographic primitives, optimize neural network architectures, and enhance the explainability and robustness of machine learning models, impacting both theoretical understanding and practical applications.
