Brain Metastasis
Brain metastasis, the spread of cancer to the brain, poses a significant clinical challenge, demanding accurate and efficient diagnostic tools for treatment planning and prognosis. Current research heavily emphasizes the use of machine learning, particularly deep learning architectures like U-Net and Transformers, coupled with radiomic features extracted from MRI scans, to improve detection, segmentation, and prediction of primary tumor origin and patient survival. These advancements aim to enhance diagnostic accuracy, personalize treatment strategies (such as stereotactic radiotherapy), and ultimately improve patient outcomes by enabling earlier intervention and more effective monitoring.
