Camera Parameter
Camera parameter estimation is crucial for accurate computer vision tasks, aiming to determine both intrinsic (e.g., focal length, principal point) and extrinsic (e.g., camera pose, orientation) parameters. Current research focuses on improving the robustness and accuracy of these estimations, employing methods ranging from classical geometric approaches leveraging vanishing points and geometric constraints to deep learning models that learn to extract relevant visual cues and optimize camera parameters directly from images, sometimes even in a self-supervised manner. These advancements are significantly impacting applications such as 3D reconstruction, autonomous driving, augmented reality, and remote physiological monitoring, enabling more reliable and accurate performance in these fields.
