Cancelable Biometric Template

Cancelable biometrics aim to enhance the security of biometric systems by transforming original biometric data into reversible, yet unlinkable, templates. Current research focuses on developing novel algorithms, such as those based on random walks, Boolean XOR operations, and morphing techniques, to generate these cancelable templates while maintaining high recognition accuracy. These methods are evaluated based on criteria like irreversibility, unlinkability, and recognition performance across various biometric modalities (face, iris, fingerprint, etc.), contributing to more secure and privacy-preserving biometric authentication systems.
