Cascade System
Cascade systems, comprising sequential processing stages where a simpler model handles easy tasks and a more complex model refines difficult ones, are a growing area of research in machine learning and control systems. Current work focuses on improving efficiency and scalability, particularly in distributed settings like multi-device environments and resource-constrained applications, as well as addressing privacy concerns when sensitive data is involved. These systems are proving valuable in diverse applications, including speech processing, natural language processing, and control of complex systems, offering improved accuracy and efficiency compared to single-model approaches.
