Cerebral Microbleeds
Cerebral microbleeds (CMBs) are small blood deposits in the brain, detectable via MRI, and are associated with various cerebrovascular diseases and cognitive decline. Current research heavily focuses on developing automated detection methods using deep learning architectures like U-Net and nnU-Net, often incorporating novel techniques such as attention mechanisms and multi-domain training to improve accuracy and reduce false positives. This work aims to improve diagnostic efficiency and potentially aid in risk stratification and treatment monitoring for cerebrovascular diseases, although widespread clinical application remains a future goal.
