Cerebral Palsy
Cerebral palsy (CP) is a lifelong motor disability arising in infancy, necessitating early diagnosis for effective intervention. Current research focuses on developing automated CP detection systems using machine learning, particularly deep learning architectures like convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and graph convolutional networks (GCNs), often incorporating attention mechanisms and explainable AI (XAI) techniques to improve accuracy and interpretability. These advancements aim to improve accessibility of early diagnosis, especially in resource-limited settings, by analyzing readily available data sources such as video recordings of infant movements and pressure sensor data. The ultimate goal is to provide timely and accurate CP detection, enabling earlier and more effective therapeutic interventions.
