Channel Mixing

Channel mixing, in the context of time series and image analysis, refers to techniques that integrate information across different channels (e.g., features in an image or variables in a time series) to improve model performance. Current research focuses on optimizing channel mixing within various architectures, including transformers and state-space models, often aiming to balance the benefits of channel interaction with the need to manage computational complexity and avoid integrating irrelevant information.
