Chinese WordNet
Chinese WordNet (CWN) is a lexical resource aiming to organize Chinese words into synsets (sets of synonyms) reflecting semantic relationships, similar to the well-known English WordNet. Current research focuses on improving CWN's construction and application, particularly addressing challenges like fine-grained sense disambiguation, leveraging large language models (LLMs) and other neural network architectures for tasks such as ontology learning and semantic change detection, and enriching CWN with information on homonymy and polysemy. These advancements enhance the utility of CWN for various natural language processing tasks, including word sense disambiguation, machine translation, and knowledge base completion, ultimately contributing to a deeper understanding of Chinese language semantics.
