Citrus Disease
Citrus diseases pose a significant threat to global citrus production, impacting fruit quality and economic yields. Current research heavily emphasizes the development and application of machine learning and deep learning models, such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and variations like ResNet50 and EfficientNet, for early and accurate disease detection using image analysis of leaves and fruit. These efforts aim to improve disease management strategies, including optimizing chemical and mechanical control methods, particularly against devastating diseases like Huanglongbing (HLB). Ultimately, improved diagnostic tools and optimized control strategies hold the potential to significantly reduce economic losses and enhance citrus crop sustainability.
