CLEFT Lip
Cleft lip, a congenital facial deformity, is the focus of intense research aiming to improve diagnosis, surgical planning, and patient care. Current research utilizes various deep learning architectures, including generative adversarial networks (GANs) like StyleGAN, and contrastive learning methods, to generate realistic images of repaired cleft lips, aiding surgical visualization and potentially reducing the need for large, ethically-obtained datasets. These AI-driven approaches, along with analysis of speech characteristics, offer objective measures of cleft severity and surgical outcomes, improving both clinical practice and the understanding of this condition.
