Climate Scenario
Climate scenario research aims to project future climate conditions under various emission pathways and understand associated uncertainties. Current efforts focus on developing efficient methods for generating large ensembles of climate simulations using deep learning techniques, such as diffusion models and neural networks, to improve uncertainty quantification and explore extreme weather events. These advancements are crucial for informing adaptation strategies across sectors like agriculture, where machine learning models are being used to optimize management practices under variable climate conditions, and for providing policymakers with data-driven insights for climate change mitigation and adaptation.
