Cloth Deformation
Cloth deformation modeling aims to realistically simulate how fabric moves and drapes, primarily for applications in computer graphics and animation. Recent research focuses on developing efficient deep learning models, often employing mesh-based networks or two-stream architectures combining skeletal and mesh data, to predict cloth deformation from input such as body motion or obstacle meshes. These methods leverage graph convolutions and generative adversarial networks to achieve fast and accurate results, surpassing the computational cost of traditional physics-based simulations. This improved efficiency opens doors for integrating realistic cloth simulation into real-time applications like video games and virtual reality, enhancing visual fidelity and immersion.
