Clothed Avatar
Clothed avatar research focuses on creating realistic digital representations of humans wearing clothes, aiming for accurate geometry, appearance, and dynamic behavior. Current efforts concentrate on developing methods that combine physics-based simulation with data-driven deep learning approaches, often employing neural networks (e.g., transformers, diffusion models) and implicit/explicit 3D representations (e.g., SMPL, SDFs) to handle the complex interactions between clothing and body movement. This field is significant for advancements in virtual reality, animation, and digital fashion, enabling more realistic and interactive experiences.
