Cognitive Data

Cognitive data research integrates neuroimaging data (fMRI, EEG, MEG, eye-tracking) with linguistic and behavioral measures to understand how humans process language and other cognitive tasks, often using large language models (LLMs) like BERT and GPT-4 as a point of comparison. Current research focuses on developing robust benchmarks and improved data splitting techniques to better evaluate LLMs' cognitive abilities and explore the relationship between brain activity and linguistic features, employing methods like supervised contrastive regression and unified attentional networks. This interdisciplinary field promises to advance both our understanding of human cognition and the development of more human-like and explainable AI systems.
