Cognitive Task

Cognitive task research investigates how humans and artificial intelligence (AI) systems process information and solve problems, aiming to understand and replicate intelligent behavior. Current research focuses on evaluating AI models' performance on diverse cognitive tasks, using benchmarks inspired by cognitive science and employing machine learning techniques like transfer learning and Random Forests to analyze both AI and human brain activity (e.g., via EEG). This work is crucial for developing more robust and human-like AI systems, improving our understanding of human cognition, and potentially leading to advancements in areas like early detection of neurodegenerative diseases through analysis of speech patterns.
