Cognitive testing research is rapidly evolving, focusing on developing and refining methods to accurately assess cognitive abilities across diverse populations and using various data modalities. Current efforts leverage machine learning, particularly multimodal models and techniques like path signature analysis, to analyze data from diverse sources such as speech, video, and wearable sensors, improving the efficiency and accuracy of cognitive assessments. This work holds significant implications for early diagnosis of cognitive decline, personalized interventions, and the development of more sophisticated artificial intelligence systems by providing benchmarks for evaluating their cognitive capabilities.
