Color Correction
Color correction in images and videos aims to restore or enhance color accuracy and consistency, addressing issues like uneven lighting, color casts, and distortions arising from various factors including camera limitations, environmental conditions, and stylistic choices. Current research focuses on developing efficient algorithms and neural network architectures, such as those based on radiance fields (NeRFs), generative adversarial networks (GANs), and UNets, to achieve real-time or near real-time color correction across diverse applications. These advancements have significant implications for various fields, improving image quality in areas ranging from photography and videography to medical imaging, remote sensing, and autonomous systems operating in challenging environments.
