Color Mapping

Color mapping, the process of transforming an image's color scheme, is a crucial area of image processing with applications ranging from enhancing smartphone photos to improving computer vision tasks. Current research focuses on developing automated methods for color transfer, often employing deep learning architectures like neural ISP networks operating in the Fourier domain to decouple color and structural adjustments for improved realism. These advancements aim to overcome limitations of traditional palette-based methods and address challenges like spectral sensitivity estimation in consumer cameras, ultimately leading to more accurate and natural-looking color transformations in various applications.
