Color Vision Deficiency
Color vision deficiency (CVD), encompassing various forms of impaired color perception, is a significant area of research focusing on understanding its impact on visual processing and developing assistive technologies. Current research explores computational methods, including augmented reality (AR) interfaces and large language models (LLMs), to improve color discrimination and contextual understanding for individuals with CVD. These efforts aim to create more effective assistive tools and also shed light on the interplay between sensory experience and language acquisition in color perception, advancing both our understanding of the human visual system and the development of inclusive technologies.
