Communicative Context
Communicative context research investigates how contextual information—linguistic, visual, and situational—shapes communication and meaning. Current efforts focus on incorporating this context into AI models, particularly for tasks like visual question answering and speech recognition, often using large language models and multimodal architectures to integrate diverse data sources. This work aims to improve the naturalness and effectiveness of human-computer interaction by enabling AI systems to understand and respond appropriately to the nuances of communicative situations, ultimately leading to more robust and user-friendly applications.
