Conceptual Model

Conceptual modeling focuses on creating structured representations of knowledge, aiming to improve understanding, communication, and machine processing of complex systems. Current research emphasizes developing methods for automatically discovering patterns within models (e.g., using frequent subgraph mining), integrating conceptual models with AI techniques like large language models for iterative model building and interpretation, and applying these models to diverse domains such as robotics, education, and data analysis. This work is significant because it facilitates better knowledge representation, improves the quality of statistical and machine learning models by incorporating domain expertise, and enables more effective human-computer interaction in complex tasks.
