Conflict Mitigation
Conflict mitigation research focuses on developing strategies to resolve disagreements between competing systems or agents, aiming to improve efficiency and prevent failures. Current efforts concentrate on developing modular architectures and AI-based methods, such as knowledge distillation and gradient projection, to detect and resolve conflicts in diverse applications, including simultaneous speech translation, telecommunications networks (like O-RAN), and urban air mobility. These advancements are crucial for optimizing complex systems, enhancing performance, and ensuring reliable operation across various domains.
