Contract Knowledge
Contract knowledge research focuses on improving the understanding and processing of contractual language, aiming to automate tasks like contract review and risk identification, and to clarify ambiguities for non-legal stakeholders. Current research employs large language models (LLMs), often augmented with knowledge graphs or retrieval-based prompting, to analyze contract text, identify key clauses, and even generate clarification questions. This work is significant for improving efficiency and accuracy in legal and business processes, particularly in high-stakes domains like construction and smart contracts, where errors can be costly.
