Conversational Machine Reading
Conversational Machine Reading (CMR) focuses on enabling computers to engage in multi-turn question-answering dialogues based on a given text, aiming to improve the accuracy and naturalness of responses. Current research emphasizes developing end-to-end models that seamlessly integrate decision-making (e.g., determining whether to answer or ask a follow-up question) and response generation, often leveraging entailment reasoning and transformer-based architectures like T5. These advancements are significant for improving human-computer interaction and facilitating more natural and informative interactions with complex textual information.
