Copy Detection Pattern

Copy detection patterns (CDPs) are microscopic markings used to authenticate products and combat counterfeiting, particularly in industries like pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Current research focuses on improving CDP authentication robustness against sophisticated deep learning-based attacks, often employing digital twin models (using architectures like Turbo and Denoising Diffusion Probabilistic Models) to simulate the printing process and account for variability. This work aims to develop more reliable and scalable authentication methods with provable performance guarantees, addressing limitations of existing empirical approaches and enhancing the security of various applications.
